Grasp the opportunity to do a job that has meaning and makes a practical contribution to environmental and energy transition thanks to your professionalism, mindset and sense of innovation.

An environmental transition mindset

A culture of long-term vision and impactful activities

The culture of long-term thinking and the impact of our activities

We promote a culture of long-term vision and impactful activities in our business lines, historically led by our activities in:

  • Concessions: our vision is to operate infrastructure for long periods.
  • Development: we consider the future climatic, socio-economic and environmental effects of the infrastructure and buildings we create for a district.

→ For example, Eiffage Route prioritises recycled asphalt solutions using plant-based binders.

For many years, we have been committed to environmental protection, including things like eco-grazing, eco-bridges, etc. Nearly 100% of our service areas are equipped with electric charging points.

Environmental actions: a daily practice

Every day, our employees build and create projects with a focus on environmental protection (site organisation, operating procedures, training, etc.) and support our customers in their environmental transitions.

Rolling out low-carbon products and services to our customers

You will support our customers in their environmental transition with products and services designed around energy renovation and tried-and-tested alternative low-carbon solutions in all our business lines, not forgetting the integration of circular economy solutions into everything we do.

→ For example, our plant-based asphalt Biophalt received the FNTP 2022 Grand Prix des Trophées award.

Enhancing our employees’ environmental skills

Employees working on the Climate Mural

We will train you on environmental issues:

  • Mandatory training modules on low carbon and biodiversity for our construction site employees, an Eiffage Training School course dedicated to low-carbon business, the circular economy and biodiversity protection, and training developed internally by Eiffage University.
  • Charters and operating procedures
  • “Enviro-tour” visits organised by the Group’s regional delegations.

Responsible purchasing policy

Our purchasing department uses decision-making tools to rank our suppliers according to their environmental impacts.

→ For example, the Group has implemented eco-sourcing software to help source products and compare their environmental performance.

In the management review of one of my projects, what we want is to respect the environment and capture new markets by leading the way in environmental matters.

Our culture of innovation for environmental transition

At Eiffage, we are developing a culture of open innovation for environmental transition at every level.

We are building partnerships with incubators, businesses, universities and institutes:

  • Sekoya innovation platform, RWTH, Ittecop research programme, Eco Skills Challenge, etc.

We encourage our employees to innovate internally:

  • With idea-generating tools (Start.box and Start.lab digital platforms for crowdsourced innovation) dedicated to innovation themes and challenges, and internal innovation funds (Seed-Innov, E-Face).

With this approach, employees can obtain finance for their projects and solutions with a strong environmental component.
