In Brest (29), the second launching of the new bridge parallel to the Robert Schuman Bridge was successfully carried out
The two banks of the new bridge are now connected following the second launching operation of the nearly 1,000-tonne steel structure, manufactured and installed by our teams from Lauterbourg (67).
This second symbolic phase was an engineering challenge, combining precision—with the millimetric sliding of the deck onto the second part of the bridge—within a constrained urban environment.
Next step: jacking down
Congratulations to all the teams involved for the successful completion of this key milestone in the project!
