Controlling the risks of our business
Low-carbon commitment 2030: 46% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions and 30% reduction in upstream scope 3 emissions.
Biodiversity objective: increase the positive impact of our activities on the environment, by developing our ecological engineering business, avoiding and reducing pressure on nature, building with living things
Circular economy: recovering materials by reusing and recycling our excavated and waste materials.
Our dedicated resources :
Environment Department
Low-carbon department
Ecological Engineering Department
Our concrete actions:
Training: 100% of staff aware of and trained in environmental risks
Eco-driving: 100% of car and machine drivers coached in eco-driving techniques
Circular economy: 97% of excavated material recycled, 88% of surplus recycled
Training our teams in ecological engineering and adapting practices to promote biodiversity
The equipment department pays particular attention to safety and to reducing the carbon footprint generated by the use of its machines. Every new equipment purchase includes environmental and safety clauses in its specifications. Tailor-made machine configurations ensure that worksites are carried out in the best possible conditions for our customers and employees.
- Investment, management and maintenance of the entire equipment fleet
- Transfer of our machines (logistics, planning)
- Collection and analysis of digital machine data
- Increasing percentage of hybrid machines
- Use of organic oils
- Average age of fleet: 5.5 years
- 11 mechanics and 5 truck drivers
- 2,000 m² central workshop
Specializing in geology, geotechnics, soil and rock mechanics, Forézienne's geotechnical design office deploys its expertise and know-how in the following areas:
- responses to invitations to tender for works contracts, proposing alternative solutions and additional geotechnical investigations and tests,
- studies (mission G2, project phase, as defined by standard NF P 94-500*) as part of design-build projects,
- execution geotechnical studies (mission G3, study and follow-up phases, as defined by standard NF P 94-500*),
- calculation resources: calculation and dimensioning software for studying and justifying geotechnical structures, and for understanding soil-structure interaction issues.
- occasional geotechnical diagnostics and expert assessments (G5 assignments, as defined by standard NF P 94-500*).
The geotechnical design office has a central laboratory based in Lempdes (63) and 3 mobile laboratories equipped with all the equipment needed to carry out :
- additional geotechnical investigations and tests required for geotechnical studies,
- soil and rock analysis and identification tests in the laboratory, and in situ tests to monitor earthworks.
* A standard specifying the content and limits of geotechnical engineering missions, as well as their sequence, to help control geotechnical risks.
This department is made up of topographers, guidance managers, designers, surveyors... who provide their skills and know-how at every stage of a project:
- Invitation to tender
- Operation
- Completion
- BIM
Forézienne's professions
Earthworks
FNTP 2311 qualified, Forézienne is involved in the widening and creation of motorway sections, as well as in the construction of high-speed rail lines.
Located throughout France, our company is involved in operations of all sizes and technicalities.
Drawing on its various departments - environment, pollution control, geotechnics, topography, mining and equipment - Forézienne masters every technique, from urban, river and mountain earthworks to the construction of landfill sites, logistics platforms and dams.

Mining and skidding h2>
The company's historic speciality, "mining", now extends to the whole of France, on road operations or in quarries.
Our experience enables us to work on major projects (freeways, high-speed rail lines, airports, etc.) in urban and suburban environments under heavy traffic, proposing the most appropriate rock removal methods to meet the site's constraints.
Our expertise- Quarry mining
- Linear mining
- Extra-technical rock removal
- Micro-mining on sensitive sites
-
Sanitation / network h2>
This activity gives Forézienne a comprehensive range of services for linear infrastructure projects, as well as for the development of urban development zones, industrial platforms, heating networks, etc.
The scope of our services is vast: installation of framework structures of all sizes, deep trench piping, construction and equipping of rainwater basins, replacement or creation of networks of all kinds. -
Careers h2>
Forézienne operates two quarries, the Gondive quarry in Chandolas (07), and the Périgneux quarry (42):
- Extraction and production of quality materials (from solid limestone or granite)
- Trading products
- Reception, recycling and recovery of inert materials from construction sites
- Conformity and traceability of materials
- Delivery service
-
ISDI h2>
Forézienne operates an Inert Waste Storage Facility (ISDI) in Saint-Étienne (42): Vallon du Vernet. The facility, with a capacity of 150,000 m3/year, receives inert waste from construction companies in the Saint-Etienne area.
The facility is managed under a public service delegation contract. -
Depollution h2>
Soil decontamination is a response to the problems associated with polluted sites and soils. Whatever the environment, Forézienne offers treatment solutions that are both coherent and adapted to project requirements.
Our global vision includes :- Support and expertise (analysis of analytical data, types of materials or pollutants present, assessment of health and financial issues)
- Proposals for appropriate remediation techniques tailored to the issues at stake
- Pre-works characterization
- Optimization of treatment processes
- Drawing up of earthworks / remediation plans (meshing)
- Intervention with specialized teams trained in asbestos/chemical risks
- Analytical control as work progresses (laboratory analysis or with portable devices such as PID, Pétroflag, Niton kits, etc.)
- Optimum waste traceability: BSD / BSDA / Trackdéchets
-
Ecological engineering h2>
Our teams have developed specific know-how that enables us to work in highly environmentally sensitive natural environments.
They work in the service of the living world with renaturation projects, where earthworks have their rightful place:- Restoration/renaturation of watercourses, reopening of fish passageways
- Creation of wildlife crossings
- Creation of habitats: pools, hibernacula
- Restoration of lônes, oxbows, marshes, wetlands
- Treatment of invasive exotic plant species
Kalisterre: a qualification that recognizes the skills and expertise of companies committed to nature conservation, maintenance and restoration of ecosystems, with know-how now recognized by professionals.
Forézienne has 4 agencies qualified as "implementing agencies" for this skill, which meets the challenges of ecological transition and biodiversity preservation.
