The bridge of all records
Commissioned in 2004, the Millau viaduct (Aveyron), on the A75 Clermont-Ferrand-Béziers freeway, is a record-breaking bridge. Not only because of its dimensions - the highest pier is 343 metres high and 2,460 metres long - but also because of the fourteen years it took to prepare, the three years it took to build... and the mobilization of all Eiffage divisions, with almost 600 workers at the height of the project.
