Toulouse metro: TBM Berthe de Puybusque completes its second breakthrough
The "Berthe de Puybusque" Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) has successfully completed its second breakthrough, piercing the diaphragm wall of the future Ponts-Jumeaux station. This milestone marks the completion of the first phase of its journey.
This initial 2,539-meter section—out of a total planned excavation of 4,661 meters—was marked by the crossing of Fondeyre station before reaching the finish line at Ponts-Jumeaux.
The journey continues! The TBM will soon be returned to its starting point at La Vache Gare – Le Grand Marché station to begin a second drive. After a meticulous dismantling and repositioning of its cutterhead, it will commence its second excavation phase towards the future Raisin station.
This complex operation is a testament to the expertise of our teams.
